Laquo Family Quilts Diamonds Squared with Pieced Border. Amish Quilts and Chance Meetings. Posted by Amy on April 4th, 2010. I recently designed and made this little laptop sleeve for my sister, and I thought some of you might like to make one for yourself (or someone else) as well! You might want to try as well. Approximately 1/2 yard each of two fabrics, one for exterior and one for lining. One piece of batting, approximately 18″ by 45″. Measuring, Calculating, Cutting:. In my case, this turned out to ...

Sherrie | i SAW it!

My life, my loves (family, friends, food, sewing, reading, writing). I’m reading…. June 29, 2011. We’ve been down to only the toddler since last Wednesday, and I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. I tend to feel guilty if I’m not spending time between 8 and 10 pm with the kids (if they are in the house), so these nights have been very productive after Mila goes to bed. I also changed my mind three times on which skirt I was going to make this week, but finally decided on a grown-up version of this one.

That's Sew Julie: Foldover Hexagon Tutorial
http://thatssojulie.blogspot.com/2014/05/foldover-hexagon-tutorial.html
Friday, May 30, 2014. At my guild meeting this month Emma from Quilties. Taught us how to make foldover hexagons. I've seen them around lately and thought it would be fun to write up a tutorial on how to make them since I haven't seen one posted. I'm excited about this method because you don't need to do any hand sewing! You'll need to make your own templates and then have a pair of scissors, an iron, pins, and a sewing machine handy for this. Then fold again. With this second fold you are folding it...

http://freshraspberryquilts.blogspot.com/2012/05/pillow-swap-and-quilt-retreat.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Pillow swap and Quilt Retreat! So, I know it has been awhile since I posted. I've even had a few friends ask me about it. I guess the time has just got away from me. I am going to try to post much more regularly in the future. Arranged a pillow swap challenge. We exchanged out completed pillows at the April meeting. Here is the pillow that I made for Veronica. This was the first time I ever made a pillow. It was very fun and I can see why some people make loads of them! I made this ...

Quilt Idea
Maandag 22 april 2013.

Quiltiferous | Modern Quilts and Life
Modern Quilts and Life. A Temperance Quilt Top. August 12, 2015. Recently, I’ve opened my Etsy shop up to finishing antique quilts. Because of the generosity of my family members,. I have had the opportunity to finish several antique tops,. Taking them from bits of fabric to finished quilts! While perusing Ebay for other antique tops that were affordable,. I came across this beauty. I am not yet a fabric or pattern dating expert,. But I do know this T block was made often during prohibition,. That makes ...
Quiltification
Thursday, 2 July 2015. It's been a long time since I posted anything about our house renovation. We don't tend to move very quickly with renovating - taking our time to come to a decision that we will both love (no easy feat) and then tracking down all the bits we need. Let me remind you what our spare bedroom looked like the day we moved into our house. "Amazing" 60s/70s carpet, floral wallpaper and two-tone green painted wood-chip walls that looked a bit like mould. The day we moved in. There are still...
