Ghost Cockroach (and other oddities): February 2011
http://ghostcockroach.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 1, 2011. You need whole new parts buddy! Every now and then, I get to enjoy the aspect of my job that brought me to this place to begin with, the music. Tonight, I’m enjoying a rare moment of just sitting and listening. No drama, just checking the record for any strange glitches and faux pas. Throw in some Bombay Sapphire, and you have a hell of an evening. No, the sounds tonight feature tales of love, and love lost - relationships that have ended, and others that have yet to begin....

Ghost Cockroach (and other oddities): December 2010
http://ghostcockroach.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. Don't fight it, Curtis. I can’t believe it’s the end of another year. I’ve always heard that the years fly by as you get older, and it’s true. I’ve got my aviator glasses on and doing a few barrel rolls right now. Without further ado…. Let’s start with music. Mumford and Sons – Sigh No More. So, okay – I confess. I downloaded the record for free. Initially. The National – High Violet. Because I loved ‘Boxer’, I had no trouble purchasing this record immediately (digi...Something...

http://ghostcockroach.blogspot.com/2011/01/were-putting-band-back-together.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. We're putting the band back together. In 2010, Nashville’s Awesome Paranormal Society (NAPS) embarked on its first investigation. In a combined investigation with NADS, (North Carolina’s Awesome Demonic Seekers), ten of us set sail for Louisville, KY and its infamous Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Now, it’s official. We’re heading back in 2011…. Brad, what in the world would make you want to do something like this? Absolutely, ‘Ghost Hunters’ in particular is where I fi...I'm most ...

Ghost Cockroach (and other oddities): November 2010
http://ghostcockroach.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 27, 2010. Have you ever seen a squonk's tears? The blog train has been chugging along very slowly this week. For whatever reason, it's been really hard to concentrate over the past several days. I can blame some of it on an unwelcome stomach bug that crane kicked my Thanksgiving, but other than that, probably just stress. In the meantime, I'm aware that it wouldn't hurt to lighten the mood here at the 'roach'. Posted by Brad Talley. Saturday, November 20, 2010. Once again, it's Friday ...

The Dude's Story. Just an average guy with exceptional hair. Back in the saddle. January 22, 2011. I bet some of you read the title of this post and erroneously thought I was referring to getting back to blogging, but alas, you are incorrect. I am through apologizing for sporadic blogging. I mean, it’s my blog, right? If you’re distressed by the low frequency of posts (and I know you all are), just talk to me in real life. It’s almost as good. Actual finish line photo. Incidentally, when you ask people w...

The Dude's Story. Just an average guy with exceptional hair. This food is not unprocessed. The name story, continued. October 11, 2011. Today I worked from home, and while that sometimes means I get industrious and cook quite a bit, on some days it just means I’m pretty lazy. Today was one of those days. Outside of working, I didn’t want to do much else, so my meals were simple (but still “unprocessed! In much more interesting news for the day, the Eating Rules. Don’t eat high fructose corn syrup. That&#...

Unprocessed in Seattle | The Dude's Story

The Dude's Story. Just an average guy with exceptional hair. 8220;Ribollita,” or “I had never heard of this stew”. October 3, 2011. October Unprocessed has officially begun, and so far I’d say we’ve been fairly successful even with an unplanned trip to Seattle this weekend. Unplanned trips are not good for unprocessed eating, I can tell you that. But we made smart choices whenever we could. I won’t bore you with all of my food choices this weekend, but they included a fabulous meal at Revel. I’ve b...

The Dude's Story. Just an average guy with exceptional hair. 8220;Ribollita,” or “I had never heard of this stew”. The name story, continued. This food is not unprocessed. October 10, 2011. I don’t like the name. Not going to list all of my meals, but breakfasts have been Lara Bars and/or fruit and/or steel cut oats. Other meal highlights have included roasted veggies with cous cous, peanut butter toast and popcorn with butter (because our oil in a spray can is processed – how is butter better? Open the ...
