The Jennifer Tree: March 2007
http://thejennifertree.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 26, 2007. Should Cancer Stop You In Your Tracks? Although I've been conservative most of my life, I have grown much more moderate over the past few years. I have no political opinion about John Edwards as a potential candidate. I'm not following any of the 2008 presidential news right now anyway. It's just too early in the process for me. Still, this story has caught my interest. Not as a voter, but as a wife. I would be interested in your opinions. This is not an easy situation. I have som...

Taken has indicated that I am a supportive person who finds consensus more valuable than fighting for my point of view. I am a Libra for crying out loud. Tuesday, May 08, 2007. Even Reading to Your Children Can Be a Problem Sometimes. By Neil Gaiman. I loved reading the book. The illustrations were great. I think children would have even more fun reading it themselves because of the way it is put together. Would saying something make an issue where this isn’t one for her? I’m unsure of how to handle this. Has anyone else come across this before? If so, how did you handle it? If not, I would really appreciate your thoughts or suggestions. 52 Books or Bust.
Our Shady Tree: Man, you just lost my vote
http://our-shady-tree.blogspot.com/2007/04/man-you-just-lost-my-vote.html
Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Man, you just lost my vote. I wondered which of the 2008 presidential hopefuls would take the tragedy that took place at Virginia Tech and attempt to make some political capital. I must say, though, that I'm outraged at the way in which this happened. Comparing the sadistic slaughter of innocent lives to the "verbal abuse" of Dom Imus? Is he so lost inside of his own intellect that he cannot see reality for what it is? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 52 Books or Bust.

Sunday, August 27, 2006. E and A Updates. Close to tying a bow. She can make the first loop and brings the other string around. It's pulling the string through to make the second loop that's getting in her way. When Danny had her show me her new talent, I was amazed! 2) She's getting much better at coloring in the lines. She's very proud of this and should be. I can't believe how she's growing up. 4) After struggling hard to watch a movie other than Wallace and Grommit. Or Lady and the Tramp. Most of the...

Thursday, September 28, 2006. I Want to Throw Up. You’re saying to yourself – Jennifer want to throw up just because she saw a cross dresser? I threw up at the movie theater while watching The Silence of the Lambs. That’s a post for another time, but it’s very important to this story. Our Shady Tree: Beware of the Baby Bear
http://our-shady-tree.blogspot.com/2007/03/beware-of-baby-bear.html
Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Beware of the Baby Bear. When someone gets hurt at Emma and Allison’s daycare, the child is given a piece of ice wrapped in a paper towel or a sterile glove. So, when the girls get hurt at home, often they want to get one of the ice packs out of the freezer. The ice is rarely used for long. The mere presence of it seems to sooth them or at least provides acknowledgement of their injury. 8221; Danny got her the pink kitty ice pack. Wouldn. 8217;t long before she didn. 8217;t in hi...

Tell the Wolves I’m Home. By Carol Rifka Brunt. Is it too early to have a favorite book of the year? I make the rules here and I say it’s never to early. The Year of Reading Furiously | In which I attempt to read 52 books in 1 year.
The Year of Reading Furiously. In which I attempt to read 52 books in 1 year. January 23, 2012. Just as an update, have finished but haven’t yet written about the following:. Coney Island of the Mind. Good – mostly silly, but a beautiful prose poem toward the end). Last Exit to Brooklyn. Fantastic – a bit long in the constant Herzog-ian grime, but fascinating and inventive nonetheless). Meh actually think I may have read it before). The Rings of Saturn. Further updates coming soon.
