Tuesday, September 27, 2005. UghI just wrote this big long post about Microsoft vs Mozilla and it was fun and made sense, but with a click of a button poof! I'm sick and tired.this is not a good day! As a web developer, we build alot of car dealership websites in which we link to the national car ocmpany's website for info, but we always do so as a pop-up window with no navigation so taht you are forced to merely close the window when you are done and return to the dealer website. Why do we do this?

The Internet, the final frontier. These are the voyages of a student in the lands of wild, wild cyberspace. Her one term mission: to explore strange new sites and learn more about this place. To seek out new ways of speaking and new virtual realities. To boldly go where milllions have gone before. Thursday, December 01, 2005. Posted by Nadia at 4:25 AM. Quiet Dreamer. Wannabe writer. Wednesday, November 16, 2005. This was my favorite piece to read for this class! I'm really happy that there are outspoken people like Lessig who are raising hell! Posted by danielle @ 5:55 PM. Wednesday, November 09, 2005. I update the site (using dreaded html) and I understand what makes a user-friendly website and what doesn't, but I do not know how to build a website. I have a designer who, in conjunction with me, designed a website, but I don't know how to actually build one. The key to making this ...

Sometimes I Go Invisible: October 2005

Sometimes I Go Invisible. 4th year college student, majoring in English (Writing). This blog was established for my Cyberspace Class. Thursday, October 20, 2005. My personal webtopic still needs clarifying but in esscence it will be about how the internet has changed language, vocabulary, types of writing, and thought proccess. Everything for the new cybergeneration is fast paced, bright lights and oo-la-laa's, but it wasn't always like that, was it? Posted by Amanda F @ Thursday, October 20, 2005. I mus...

Monday, October 17, 2005. Does a smart mob commit textual assault? Rheingold delivered the biggest culture shock I've ever had in his essay Smart Mobs: The Power Of Many. I suppose the idea of a mob being able to assemble via text messages and mobile phones isn't really all that far fetched an idea, but I never even considered the idea that it would happen! In 2001, residents of the Phillippines toppled their president's reign by communicating via text messages. Unbelievable. And now I read this essay.

Oh Blogger, how I've ignored you. Please don't hate me. I'm terribly sorry. It's just that I've been so busy lately, what with school and work and everything. I'm thinking of you as I listen to this song. I swear I'll change, Blogger. Why don't we go to a movie Saturday, just you and me? The third idea is to focus on the nature of...

Tuesday, September 13, 2005. OmG LoLz K thNx byE! In class, we used three forms of communication to discuss "Cyberspace" by Benjamin Woolley, an interesting article that highlighted the various details of the ever changing online world. Individually, we all wrote a paragraph about the article, then as a group we had a class discussion. Finally we had a chat room discussion on the topic, involving three to four students to a room. Cough*. Hahah. Just kidding D. And then there was the chat room. The chat w...

Thursday, December 01, 2005. When I put my essay on the web it definitely changed. It was not longer a formal essay (we didn't even have to use MLA http:/ www.mla.org/. It became a navigable (if that's a word) piece for the public. What I mean is, it was no longer read straight through like a normal essay. It was broken down into sections so people have the choice of reading what part they want to read. With a print essay, that option is not available. Posted by danielle @ 7:41 AM. What Am I Bid?
